Queer (English Version)
Alright friends, I got the English version online! I just wanted the first day’s worth of hits to go straight to Projet 17 mai, since they’re the ones who asked me to contribute, y’know? /:)DISCLAIMER: Since this comic is addressing sexual identity, I only included sexualities under the Queer umbrella— although, obviously, queer also encompasses many gender identities as well.
As I said in my post debuting the French version,
Projet 17 mai contacted me several months ago about creating a comic on the theme of homophobia, and though it is definitely something I’ve experienced (being denied service in shops, having people throw garbage, being followed by howling gangs of men, etc. just for holding my girlfriend’s hand), I actually have been more hurt and upset by the biphobia I’ve experienced from the LGBT “community” for falling in love with and marrying a cisgender man. Even bisexuals have been needlessly mean because I feel the term “queer” is a better fit for me instead of “bi” (it’s totally cool if “bisexual” is the term that works for you!! It’s just not the one for me).
Basically, the Identity Police have been very hurtful to me (and others who are attracted to multiple genders), so that’s what I did my comic on.The English version of that comic I posted earlier.

I wondered the same, haha! I know a lot of Germans know English well enough to get the gist of it, but not everybody.
Also now most people know something about my hometown when I say them I am from Stuttgart.
I was thinking exactly the same. He’s going to Germany speaking in English. Well done Mr. Hollywood. LoL
I know most of the Germans can understand English, but I expected at least some of them looking a bit indecisive. Looking around. Like not knowing what the hell is happening. It is even weirder when the speaker before was speaking in German. And if Loki was speaking All-Speech or Gods’language then the old man had to speak German, because he was German, not English. The old man spoke English because he kept going the language Loki was speaking.
Luckly they didn’t try in Spain or France. It would be even more hilarious.

WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?!
I like to think I have an appreciation for art, but I stop appreciating when someone or something dies as a form of art. This is disturbing.
I don’t have the eloquence to express my rage and disgust at this. Anyone who would even think of supporting this does not exist to me. This is completely heinous and the most sorry excuse for “art” or a school project. It’s nothing but a thinly veiled twisted desire for a spectacle of pain and blood with these students using the pathetic defense of laying the blame for their own sick fetishisms on the ‘internet’. It’s horrendous and cowardly. If they truly believed in their “art” they’d put their own necks on the line, but in this case they’re not even taking responsibility for their actions. I’ve rarely seen such a load of utter bullshit. It proves nothing and provides the world with nothing except to show that humans, on a whole, likely haven’t progressed very far forward from the blood thirsty desire for spectacle of the Roman Coliseum. And that certainly isn’t news.
For anyone excusing this as being just like the meat industry, I’m not going to go into my distaste for factory farms, but in regards to the parts of the industry that DO operate in as close to a humane fashion as possible, this is NOTHING like that. Once you make something into a form of entertainment (there’s nothing else this can be, seeing as even the method of murder, the guillotine, was designed for spectacle ) it no longer is comparable. Anyone too simpleminded to see the obvious difference is not worthy arguing with.
What the fucking hell? This is disgusting.
Guys, be careful on the website. If you click the link, a video of a (thankfully empty) guillotine dropping starts looping, and it was seriously upsetting. I had to click out of the site without voting because it was hitting me too hard to concentrate.
